Since we already are in the 21st century with advance technology we are able to do things easier and faster especially in communicating and spreading news and information basically through media. But what is media by the way? Media, as defined, is the means of communicating to the mass. It could be through television, radio, newspapers and or computer.
    
     What is Democracy? Democracy is a government wherein the power is deputed to the people and in which everyone has an equal right and is equally treated. As a citizen of a country with democracy as its form of government I was able to live and choose freely. Freedom in expressing my thoughts and opinions in any form is a very great advantage.
  
        What is the role of media in a Democratic Society?

     
       When you say role, it is the part, the purpose, and the position of someone or something in a specific situation. For me the purpose of media in a democratic society are...

1. Through media you can state your supplications and complaints to the government and to everyone on the form of encoded articles, videos, music compositions and many more;
2. If it is already election time and campaign of candidacy, through media you can have background check about the candidates;
3. After the election, through media you have the right to send message about your questions and suggestions through the government page. and lastly;
4. You can and will be heard and answered.

   
      
        Everyone has different perception and understanding about this topic. And these are my ideas about it. After all, it is not just the media and it's role in the society but it is also our way and motive of using it. As what Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach said, "Think before you click". What matters the most is the content of what you post. So eventually we should think before we click.
